Venison Sausage Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground venison or other sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup chopped multicolored peppers
  • 4-ounce can mushrooms (or 1 cup fresh)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup baking mix
  • 4 eggs
  • dash salt/pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. Lightly spray pie plate.
  3. Brown sausage and add to pie plate.
  4. Sauté onion, peppers and mushrooms.
  5. Layer veggies over sausage.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over veggies/sausage.
  7. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth.
  8. Pour into pie pan.
  9. Bake until golden brown, about 35 min until knife inserted between center and edge comes out clean.
  10. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
