Grandma Rousseau’s garlic potatoes

1 hour or so until tender
Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: hour or so until temder | Servings: 1 or 2 per person


  • white or red potatoes
  • whole garlic
  • salt & pepper
  • butter


Wash potatoes and cut in half. Scoop a small hole in the middle of both sides, add a piece of garlic to the hole on one side, and fill the other hole with butter, salt and pepper both sides. Put potato sides back together, wrap tight with aluminum foil, and poke holes into potato with a knife. Put on a hot grill or in the oven until tender. Eat with any meal or load them up for a potato bar…enjoy! They are amazing anytime of the year.
