Refueling Shake

Recipe By: Mary Kaminski
Ontonagon REA
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • big dollop of peanut butter
  • one banana, sliced
  1. Blend till smooth and enjoy!

Notes:
You can make it thicker/thinner with more ice/almond milk, respectively.
Try adding a squeeze of chocolate syrup to give it a new flavor.

We usually drink it post-exercise as it is important to refuel soon after you finish workouts/competitions to replenish calories and restore glycogen levels (as per Nancy Clark, Sports Nutritionist). It can also be enjoyed anytime you need a boost of energy, quick calories or a healthy treat.
