Ingredients
- 3/4 cup salted butter (1 ½ sticks), softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 2 cups unbleached flour
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- ¼ cup milk
- 3/4 cup of good quality dark chocolate, chopped
Directions
- Heat oven to 375F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Mix the flour, ground almonds, and cardamom together in a bowl and stir into the butter mixture. Add the milk and stir until dough holds together.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Flatten balls to about ½ inch and place on prepared pans. Bake for about 15 minutes or until slightly golden. Cool completely on the pans.
- Melt the chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until the chocolate is completely smooth.

Drizzle the chocolate onto the cookies in a crisscross pattern. Wait until the chocolate has hardened before enjoying.
