Ingredients
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
- Beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
- Beat together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt, water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
- Insert 24 cupcake papers in muffin pans. Fill each half way with chocolate batter. Add one heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture on top of chocolate batter.
- Bake 25 – 30 minutes in preheated 350 F oven or until toothpick inserted in chocolate batter is clean.
