Great Versatile Marinade for Grilling

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons wine vinegar (white or red)
  • 3 green onions, sliced thinly
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. Combine in a large screw-top jar.
  2. Place what you want to marinate (chicken, pork, tenderloin, shish kabob, beef, swordfish, shrimp) in a deep glass 13×9.
  3. Pour marinade over and cover with plastic wrap.
  4. Chill several hours or overnight, turning once or twice.
  5. Drain and discard marinade.
  6. Grill the meat or fish until done.
