Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion , chopped
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pint tomatoes, slightly mashed
Directions
- Serve immediately.
- Sautë onion in butter until golden. Remove from heat and add flour, sugar, salt, pepper and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils.
- Boil sauce one minute. Stir in tomatoes and heat through.
- Serve immediately.
