Stuffed mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. large whole white mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 Cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 -1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 5oz jar of Kraft Old English cheese spread
  • 1/2-1 Tbsp Franks hot sauce, optional or to taste.

Directions

  1. Wipe mushroom clean, do not wash.
  2. Remove stems and finely chopped ( I use mini food processor to finely chop stems and veggies.)
  3. In medium sauté pan melt butter on medium heat, add stems, onions and green pepper. Sauté until soft and most of liquid cooked off.
  4.  Add cheese spread. Stir and mix well until cheese melted.
  5.  Add Franks, if using.
  6.  Turn heat to low, stuff mushrooms. Fill each as much as possible.
  7. Bake at 350 in preheated oven, for about 25 minutes.
  8.  Serve immediately.
