Ingredients
- 3 cups onion or garlic flavored croutons
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 pounds breakfast sausage or ham
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 cups 2% or whole milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup diluted with 1/2 cup additional milk
Directions
- Brown sausage or ham and drain any fat or liquid
- Butter or spray a 9×13 glass baking dish
- place croutons in baking dish
- Top croutons with cheese
- Layer cooked drained sausage or ham over cheese layer
- Beat 4 eggs with dry mustard mixing well
- pour egg mixture over layers
- Pour milk over all layers
- Cover and refrigerate overnight
- Before baking, dilute cream of mushroom soup with milk and pour over casserole
- Bake 350 for 45-60 minutes or until bubbling and bottom layer is browned.
- Let stand out of oven for 5-10 minutes before serving
